April 21
Join Capitol Land Trust as we join forces the City of Shelton in restoring the Manke-Goldsborough Preserve for Earth Day 2023. In this event, we will be working on removing invasive plants to help earlier tree plantings fully mature. This will be a fun and productive workout among friends!
CLT orchestrated the donation of this property to the City of Shelton after hearing neighbors’ concerns over a planned timber harvest in 2015. While we were not able to acquire the property before the harvest, we eventually secured 2 adjacent properties — providing 52 acres of permanently protected land and Goldsborough Creek shoreline for the enjoyment of Shelton residents.
Join us to make a significant difference towards the City of Shelton’s plan for this neighborhood park.
