Conservation Areas

Together, we will protect our region’s lands, waters and habitats, the places that support a sustainable community for animals, plants and all of us. Our focus is to conserve southwest Washington’s:

• Marine shorelines and estuaries,
• Wetlands, rivers, streams and the forests that surround them,
• Prairies and oak woodlands, and
• Working farms, forests and ranches

These four conservation strategies have led us to focus our efforts in the following Conservation Areas:

• Budd & Henderson Inlets
• Black River / Chehalis Watershed
• Cowlitz Watershed
• Deschutes Watershed
• Green Cove Creek Wetlands
• Hood Canal
• Oakland Bay & Goldsborough Creek Watershed
• Steamboat Conservation Partnership Region
