The 14th Annual Conservation Breakfast
Conservation FOR a Healthy Community
Tuesday, February 6, 2018
Thank you to those who joined us for our Conservation Breakfast! Dr. Stephen Albrecht, family physician with Kaiser Permanente, shared why he prescribes exercise and 361 reasons why it’s better done outdoors. John Peters, Black Lake Resources, shared how his family is using their farm to support the community. Amanda Reed, Executive Director, gave updates on Capitol Land Trust’s programs and successes. And, we recognized Dr. Alex Apostle, Superintendent of Shelton School District, who shared his vision for incorporating nature-based education throughout the school system. Two students from the school district also shared their experience of learning on the land.
Your donations raised over $93,000 to support Capitol Land Trust’s mission. Thank you so much!
