Thank you for being a Table Captain for the 2021 Virtual Conservation Breakfast!

We appreciate your commitment to the success of this event & local conservation. You, as a vital member of our community, are our best advocate. This will be CLT’s biggest and only fundraising event of 2021– so we really appreciate your support.

This event isn’t possible without amazing volunteers like you!

Be a part of it!

Wednesday, April 21, 2021
8:00 am  – 8:30 am
Join us online

Connecting People, Conserving Land – Explore locally conserved lands with Capitol Land Trust during our biggest fundraising event of 2021! We’ll virtually visit 21 properties within the South Puget Sound and Chehalis Basin watersheds, while meeting a variety of community members.

This year a generous donor will donate $20,000 if 300 people donate to CLT before April 30th. Your gift, of any size, can help us secure an additional $20,000 for local conservation projects.

The event is free to attend. A donation will be requested during the program. Your support enables the ongoing work to expand networks of conserved land in the South Puget Sound and Chehalis Basin watersheds.

Communicating With Your Guests

  • Schedules fill quickly.  Decide if calling your prospects first then following up with a letter or email is best, or if you should send a letter/email and place a follow up call.
  • Remind your guests at least twice.
  • Personally thank each of your guests.  Notecards, emails, or phone calls after the event are great ways to show your appreciation to them for supporting Capitol Land Trust.

Cool videos & stories to share

Share exciting CLT content with your potential guests to get them excited about attending the Conservation Breakfast.

Visit our YouTube Channel to find videos to share! We have property tours, restoration stories, & wildlife videos.

Explore recent CLT news here. Share stories like the recent conservation success in Mud Bay, the new interactive map at Bayshore Preserve, and many more!

Capitol Land Trust has a proven track record for success. We will continue to work with you and many partners to find the best lands to conserve so that:

  • Future generations will be able to watch the salmon run in 30 years
  • Your water quality will be maintained
  • Farmers and ranchers, who have been on their lands for generations, can keep them in production for many more
  • Your kids and their kids will have natural places to explore
  • Our work will have the most beneficial impact on you and the community – keeping this a place we all want to live

How to respond to “Yes! I’ll be at your table!”

When someone confirms that they’ll sit at your table, encourage them to RSVP on CLT’s website. This will allow us to send event updates and track everyone sitting at your table. We will give you a list of your table attendees in April so you can send personalized communications.

Hey ______,

Great! You can go ahead and RSVP for the Virtual Breakfast here: http://capitollandtrust.org/virtual-conservation-breakfast/

When you RSVP, please select my name on the “Virtual Table Captain” question.

Looking forward to it!

Make Your Guest List

  • Virtual Table Captains commit to having 10 guests RSVP. To ensure 10 individuals attend, we recommend inviting 20-25 people. Since the event is virtual this year, you can invite anyone who cares about land conservation.
  • Instead of submitting a roster this year, we ask that you invite your guests to RSVP and choose you as their Table Captain.
  • Guests can RSVP here: http://capitollandtrust.org/virtual-conservation-breakfast/
  • Invite your friends, neighbors, colleagues, outdoor enthusiasts, or professionals who benefit from increased quality of life in Washington State through conserving lands and waters.
  • Follow up with everyone! If you don’t hear back from your prospects give them a call. They may be interested, but forgot to get back to you.

Try to get all your invites out by April 8th.

What’s different about the Breakfast this year?

  • To protect the health and ensure the safety of our community, the main difference is that CLT’s Conservation Breakfast will be held online in 2021. This will be CLT’s biggest and only fundraising event of 2021.
  • We hope we can host an in-person Conservation Breakfast next year. In the meantime, a virtual event helps us continue to broaden our reach, gather as a community, and raise essential funds.
