After a rigorous process to demonstrate that we operate at the highest possible level of conservation standards, the Land Trust Accreditation Commission has renewed our accredited status!
The Land Trust Accreditation Commission is the national accrediting body for land trusts. Being reaccredited by them means Capitol Land Trust continues to meet the highest national quality standards for protecting important natural places and working lands. Our accreditation status confirms that we:
- Demonstrate fiscal accountability
- Exhibit strong ethical practices and responsible governance,
- Are committed to lasting stewardship of the lands we conserve
Accreditation is a mark of distinction—a signal to volunteers, community members, landowners, and donors that CLT is committed to the continued conservation of natural spaces throughout the South Puget Sound in perpetuity.
Local land conservation is essential to the health of our communities. We look forward to continued collaboration, conservation, time in nature, and inspiring people to support our mission.
Thank you for continuing to trust us to conserve our region’s important natural spaces and working lands today and forever.
