Jorgenson Conservation Easement

Conserved in 2025

Property Overview:

• In 2025, Walt Jorgenson generously donated this 10-acre conservation easement, permanently protecting a block of forest and wetland in the Black River Watershed
• The property connects two previously conserved sites—CLT’s 10-acre Cottone Conservation Easement to the north and the 15-acre Davis Conservation Easement to the south—creating a 35-acre contiguous conservation corridor
• The property features mixed lowland forest, wetland, and riparian habitat
• It includes 450 feet of Hopkins Ditch, that flows into Salmon Creek, a known coho stream
• Wildlife includes beaver, owls, black bear, and other forest and wetland-dependent species
