Hale Preserve
Conserved in 1998
Property Overview:
- 10 acres located in northern Thurston County, approximately 5 miles northeast of downtown Olympia.
- The Preserve is almost entirely scrub-shrub wetland area, with some upland coniferous trees which provide a buffer from the road.
- The wetland is nearly impenetrable due to dense, tall stands of Douglas spirea and other wetland shrubs and trees, which provide habitat for the many species of waterfowl, amphibians, and fish that reside on the property.
