This event is canceled due to weather. We will be rescheduling for early April.
February 28
Join CLT for invasive species management and minor debris removal. Access routes on this property go through wetlands and forested shorelines so be sure to bring waterproof boots! We will be taming back blackberry and monitoring holly growth before picking up and removing plastic plant protectors. The route for the day will offer opportunities to see the progress of restoration work performed by Sound Native Plants and Northwest Youth Corps as well as excellent views of Mud Bay.
Fox-Dobbs Preserve is adjacent to several conservation areas totaling 243 acres. It is undeveloped and consists of former agricultural fields (which are reverting to wild), 650 feet of unmodified marine shoreline, and about 10 acres of wetlands. The shoreline provides intact habitat for a variety of salmonids and trout.
