Committees and Task Teams are groups of staff, board and community members who help advise and do on-the-ground work to further CLT’s mission.
Committees generally meet once a month and perform additional tasks between meetings as needed. Below is list of the committees with their general responsibilities and meeting times. If you are interested in serving on a committee, please call our office or email info@capitollandtrust.org.
- Finance & Personnel Committee – Provides financial oversight for the organization and makes policy recommendations to the Board of Directors. This committee is currently seeking someone with Human Resources knowledge. The committee meets the third Wednesday of the month from 4-5:30 pm.
- Restoration Task Team – Supports land restoration by conducting site visits, collecting data, developing restoration designs, and implementing the designs. The team meets the first Friday of the month from 7:30-9:30 am.
- New Member Task Team – Supports organization goals to grow membership, make meaningful connections with new members, and increase community awareness about CLT. The team meets once a month and completes additional tasks (calls, emails, & outreach) between meetings.
