February 21
This President’s Day, spend part of your holiday volunteering with Capitol Land Trust at Kaiser Preserve! This property is 19.5 acres and part of the Green Cove Creek Basin in Olympia. We will spend the morning removing ivy growing up trees and taking down some scattered blackberries that are growing around the preserve.
Kaiser Preserve is a short distance from the Evergreen campus, and is accessible by walk, bike, bus, or car (we love public and non-motorized transport)!
Expect to see a diversity of bird species, including the possibility of bald eagles and herons. Please bring waterproof boots; a decent amount of the preserve consists of wetlands and lowland grasses that will be wet.

Completed waivers, questions, and concerns can be emailed to [email protected].
