April 14
We just went to Tilley Wetlands East, so we have to give the western parcel a little love! Tilley Wetlands West Preserve is an 60-acre piece of an incredible 543-acre wetland complex. The wetlands drain into the Black and Chehalis rivers, two very important river for salmon. This large wetland complex is habitat and home to elk, deer, fox, coyote, beaver, porcupine, and countless amphibians and birds.
For this event, you can help us maintain the integrity of this place by removing invasive plant species like Scot’s broom, European hawthorn, and cotoneaster. We will also spend time walking the trail there.
