Saturday, March 22
Want to spend a morning in a beautiful place, getting exercise with nature-loving friends and celebrate the spring season? Join us at Inspiring Kids Preserve on March 22nd to remove invasive plants and help mulch our restoration plots.
Inspiring Kids Preserve is a 108-acre nature preserve conserved by Capitol Land Trust on the eastern shore of Henderson Inlet. Although not yet open to the public, this preserve protects a wide variety of habitat like Puget Sound shoreline, saltmarsh, freshwater wetlands, and mixed forest. It is also the site of outdoor education initiatives and environmental restoration projects. Our morning will include taking a break to walk and enjoy the preserve together.

Volunteers must fill out an annual Volunteer Waiver (2025) before volunteering with CLT. Minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and have both pages of the Minor Waiver Release (2025) Form filled out. Minors 16 and older may attend the event without a parent or guardian with the Minor Waiver filled out ahead of time. You may print and fill out your waiver ahead of time and bring it to the event. Or, email it to [email protected]. Waivers will also be available to sign at the event.
Questions or concerns? Email [email protected].
After your registration, you will be signed up to receive an “event details” email two days prior to the event date. This will give you detailed driving instructions, a weather forecast, and inform you of things you may need to bring to the stewardship party. Hope to see you there!
