Be among the first to see Capitol Land Trust’s latest conserved property.
Thanks to your support, Capitol Land Trust has been able to permanently protect a unique stretch of shoreline and forest along Little Skookum Inlet—a place with deep ties to both people and nature.
Once managed for timber and bordered by long-standing shellfish beds, this land is now an important addition to our portfolio of conserved properties. Under our stewardship, we envision healthy forests and a regenerated salmon-bearing stream, creating a habitat that sustains both wildlife and community livelihoods.
We invite you to join us for a guided walk at this new 66-acre preserve, which is not open to the public. Together, we’ll explore the inlet’s shoreline, young and older forests, and a creek shaded by trees and ferns.
