Opt Outside & Opt to Act with Capitol Land Trust! In partnership with Olympia’s REI Coop, we invite you to spend the day at our beautiful Darlin Creek Preserve. This preserve has 3 miles of hiking trails, upland forests, beaver and other wildlife activity, and Lake Lucinda – something for everyone to enjoy! The stewardship task for the day will be working to remove Scot’s Broom along one of our trails; this preserve was previously logged, and removing invasives like Scot’s broom allows the land to return a more natural, sustainable state. We will take some time to allow new visitors to see the property, too.
