This spring, we are launching Second Saturdays, a free monthly event series at Bayshore Preserve designed to invite people of all ages to learn, explore and connect—together.
Held on the second Saturday of each month from April–November, Second Saturdays feature a different nature-based theme, informal learning opportunities, and space to simply wander and enjoy the preserve. Each event begins at 10:00 am and meets at the preserve kiosk. No registration, pass, or experience required—just curiosity.
Second Saturdays were created with community in mind. Whether you’re a longtime local or visiting Bayshore for the first time, stay for a few minutes or a couple hours, bring kids or come solo, and engage at whatever level feels right for you.
Monthly Themes:
- April: Birds of Bayshore
- May: Garry Oaks & Nature Photography
- June: Prairies & Pollinators
- July: Salt Marshes & Low Tide Exploration
- August: Reflective Walk & Nature Journaling
- September: Topic Announced Soon
- October: Topic Announced Soon
- November: Fungi of Bayshore
The Second Saturdays event series reflects our commitment to welcoming community onto protected places in ways that support learning, connection, and stewardship.
