Saturday, September 12
Join us for Second Saturdays at Bayshore Preserve as we explore our connection past and present to the lands and waters of Oakland Bay.
Through a guided walk led by Squaxin Island Tribe and CLT Board Member Joseph Peters, this relaxed-paced outing introduces participants to the estuary and uplands of Bayshore Preserve while incorporating some Squaxin history along the way. Learn more about the Oakland Bay and Goldsborough Creek Watershed and its importance to the people of this region.
Whether you’re curious about the Tribal connections to this area or simply interested in learning more about the hidden history of the landscape, this is a great way to discover something new while spending time outdoors with community.
